YOUTH CAREER CAMP

Gain Skills for Future Careers

Join CIL Jacksonville for a FREE & FUN Career Camp! Youth will gain skills they need for their future careers. Participants can earn up to $40 per day or a $200 VISA for completing 30 of camp.

DATES AND SCHEDULE

Week 1
Monday December 21-Wednesday December 23rd

Week 2
Tuesday December 29- Wednesday December 30th
9:00AM-4:00PM
Breaks: 1 hour lunch break and several short breaks throughout the day.

TOPICS & ACTIVITIES

  • Career Interest Collage
  • Using Job Boards (Indeed and Others)
  • Indoor Scavenger Hunts
  • Resume Writing
  • Mock-Interviews
  • Kahoots, Trivia, and much more!

ELIGIBILITY

  • Ages 14-21 Years Old
  • IEP or 504 Plan
  • Active Status with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)
  • Non-Active VR students will be referred to VR
  • Students must be on holiday break to participate.

LOCATION: This is a virtual camp that takes place online.

Empowering our Next Generation

CIL Jacksonville empowers youth with disabilities through our mentoring program, independent living skills trainings and Youth Advisory Council.

CIL Jacksonville Youth Advisory Council is made of 13-17 members of our community with disabilities between the ages of 13-25. The Council's goals are to increase creativity, confidence and independence, build teamwork and cooperation, develop conflict resolution, time management and organization skills and build communication, public speaking and negotiation skills.
