Mentors Needed

We have many incredible services at the Independent Living Resource Center, and our Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program (RAMP) is one of them.

RAMP is a career focused program that uses a combination of group, peer, and individualized mentoring to help students learn about job options, set goals for themselves and identify concrete steps to personal success. This program also ensures that communities stay strong by helping youth become engaged career minded citizens.

RAMP works with the ILRC to provide mentors to youth in the Jacksonville area. The mentors get the opportunity to meet one on one with a student. Mentors work with students to set weekly goals that represent the steps they need to take toward achieving their long term objectives like college or a career.

There are many benefits to becoming a mentor. Mentors build relationships that last, but also gain satisfaction in knowing they were able to help a youth in need.

If you would like to become a mentor, all you need to do is download an application here. Once the application is complete, e-mail it here or mail it to 2709 Art Museum Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
