November 12, 2015
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC) will welcome the ADA Legacy Tour bus on Friday, November 13th. The ADA Legacy Tour bus was designed to raise awareness and build excitement about ADA25 – the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was July 26, 2015. The bus has logged 23,000 miles and 115 stops in 33 states. The bus is driven by the famous disability rights photographer Tom Olin.
The Americans with Disabilities Act is a wide-ranging civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability. “The signing of this Act into law has paved the way for millions of Americans to have equal access, self-empowerment and self-determination,” says Tyler Morris, Director of Marketing and Development at The Independent Living Resource Center. “We look forward to having the opportunity to meet Tom Olin and those working on the ADA Legacy Tour.”
The ADA Legacy Tour Bus will arrive at The ILRC around noon on Friday, November 13th. All are welcome to attend. For more information contact The ILRC at firstname.lastname@example.org or (904) 399-8484 (voice/TTY).
