On November 3rd, UNF and Jacksonville Disabled Services Division will be hosting Hiring Abilities Symposium and Career Fair. This event will take place in two parts. The first half of the day is a symposium that will teach business and community leaders about different strategies and best practices on employing people with abilities. Employers will have the opportunity to learn how to recruit, hire and retain individuals with diverse abilities.
The second part of the day is a career fair featuring twenty-two employers. Job seekers with disabilities will have the opportunity to network, meet employers that are hiring and apply for different jobs.
“This event is important because it supports the business community with an ability talent pipeline that will improve a company’s bottom line with increased productivity and higher rates of employee retention,” said Sean Pozin, an event organizer for Hiring Abilities.
The career fair will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and will be located at 1200 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, Fl. 32224, UNF Herbert University Center. You can register here.
