As you may be aware, JTA intends to modify the current Connexion Plus service, which is provided through a contract with UZURV. While riders have not yet been formally notified, JTA has indicated that beginning February 1, the service will transition back to a shared-ride Connexion model. This is concerning to many riders, as Connexion Plus was implemented specifically to address longstanding issues with on-time performance and quality of service for individuals with disabilities.
JTA leadership has shared this information with select members of the Jacksonville Transportation Advisory Committee (JTAC). The committee will be holding a meeting next week where JTA will present these changes and where critical feedback from the disability community will be shared. There is strong interest from riders and advocates in providing input before the changes are implemented.
To support transparency and engagement, I am sharing the upcoming JTA public meetings scheduled for January, along with information about the next JTAC meeting on January 12, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 p.m., where these changes will be discussed.
The JTA point of contact for feedback regarding these changes is:
Thomas Caulder – TCaulder@jtafla.com
Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may be impacted. We would also welcome the opportunity to meet with you at your convenience to discuss these concerns further. You can count on our continued collaboration and support as advocates for accessible, reliable transportation.
Several individuals have expressed interest in voicing their concerns and providing feedback to JTA. To support that effort, I am sharing a list of public meetings scheduled for January where riders will have the opportunity to attend and offer input, along with information about the next Jacksonville Transportation Advisory Committee meeting and contact information for JTA staff who is the point of contact for feedback regarding the anticipated changes.
