Free At-Home COVID Tests

The website is live for the free COVID test that you may have heard about on the news. These are the guidelines/rules in regards to the test with the link below to register for the test.

CIL Jax Adds New AT Program

CIL Jacksonville has expanded assistive technology options for people with disabilities by becoming the Northeast Regional Distribution Center for the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) program. FAAST is the newest addition to CIL programs and increases independence for the residents of Northeast Florida.

Florida IL Conference

The Florida Independent Living Council has selected Jacksonville, Florida as the host city for the 2022 Florida Independent Living Conference. This bi-annual conference will bring the teams from the 15 Florida Centers for Independent Living together for an educational and team building experience.

Mayor’s Disability Council Elects Jose Morales Chair

The City of Jacksonville's Mayor's Disability Council has elected Jose Morales as Chair. Morales is the ADA Manager at CIL Jacksonville. Please join us in congratulating Jose!

Deaf Cop Chat

JACKSONVILLE, FL – On Tuesday, March 30th the Center for Independent Living (CIL) Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will host a virtual Deaf Cop Chat for residents who use sign language to communicate.

Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority will officially open the JRTC at LaVilla on Monday, March 30, 2020. We are excited to enter a new era of mobility options within the region. Before we open to the public, we are staging (rain or shine) planned simulations/training exercises to ensure that the JTA is fully prepared to address operational and customer scenarios.
